Bob Holdom is a global human resources leader with experience in complex matrixed organizations across multiple industries. He has a solid balance of strategic direction and executional excellence, with the executive presence necessary to align day-to-day and transformational agendas with the C-suite and Board of Directors. He has expertise across the full compensation and benefits spectrum, with a specialty in driving employee engagement through the effective management and marketing of HR programs. Currently Bob is Vice President, HR Shared Service and Total Rewards for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, one of the nation’s most comprehensive integrated academic health care delivery systems. Holdom has been with NewYork-Presbyterian since 2015, where he is responsible for managing the compensation and benefits programs for nearly 50,000 employees. He was brought in to contemporize the newly minted Total Rewards Center of Excellence, as an integral part of the broader HR and Enterprise Transformation at NewYork-Presbyterian. He leads a team of 200 supporting Compensation, Executive Compensation, Benefits, Retirement, Wellbeing (2015+), Workforce Health & Safety (2017+), Leave Management (2017+), Regional Hospital Network staff (2018+), Corporate Center oversight (2018+), Zero Harm initiative (2018+), Corporate Sustainability (2019+), Employee Engagement and Events (2021+), People Experience (2021+), and HR Shared Services (2021+). Holdom has nearly 3 decades of experience in global compensation and benefits. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, Holdom was the Senior Vice President of Global Compensation and Benefits at NewsCorp, where he led compensation and benefits through NewsCorp’s successful spin-off from 21st Century Fox. He also spent nearly 10 years with American Express in a series of evolving roles managing teams of up to 80 staff globally. Prior to joining American Express, he spent 10 years in the global consulting practices of both Willis Towers Watson and Mercer, working in both the US and Europe. Bob has received significant industry recognition, primarily for his groundbreaking work on global wellness, as well as his leadership in employee engagement and communications. Holdom frequently serves as a conference speaker and has had multiple articles written about his work. He received a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Masters of Science in Actuarial Science from Temple University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA.
